In practicing speaking skills, there are five language such as vocabulary, sentence structure, reading, writing and listening. an academic context, the content of discussion contains ideas from results students' critical thinking. The arranged systematically, help students to speak fluently. Departing data, that Indonesian weak in thinking, well curiosity researchers about what strategies suitable for improving this study aims find a strategy using concept maps with several stages will train skills write speak. This describe application map obstacles faced by students, solutions, student perceptions. uses qualitative descriptive approach case studies, which focus on learning at Malang State Universities Maulana Malik Ibrahim Islamic University Malang. Data collection techniques means observation, interviews documentation. As data analysis method, researcher used model according Miles Hubermen, technique consisted collection, condensation, presentation, drawing conclusions. is: perceptions implementing divided into two, beginning (aspects mastery material, duration time, habituation technology) after compulsion, facilitating psychological). And Buzan Edward's trains think critically systematically learn independently, equip them HOTS both offline online improve hone reading skills.
